START WITH A PLAN

Start early, Research.

Know your priorities. Talk to other parents. Visit several different centers and remember, you cannot ask enough questions. Choosing the best possible care for your child is one of the most important and emotionally draining decisions you’ll ever make.

Starting Point is a wonderful child care referral agency that will help you determine what day care centers are available in your area. They will work with you to find the right fit for your family. Contact Starting Point at (440) 357-1241 or www.starting-point.org. Starting-Point has also put together a Good Child Care Book to help you choose a child care arrangement that meets your needs as working parents while it nurtures all aspects of your child’s development.

What to ask? Below are some sample questions to find out more about child care centers in your area:

  • What are the staff-to-child ratios?
  • Are caregivers first-aid/CPR trained?
  • What are the center hours?
  • Does the center have a sick policy?
  • Does the center have a vacation policy?
  • Is there an outside play area? How often is it used?
  • Does the center follow a curriculum?
  • Does the center have accreditations?
  • Are meals and snacks provided?

We would love to be considered as a possible choice for your child's home away from home. If you have any questions please feel free to call us at (440) 352-4885 or Contact Us Here.
